CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive, naturally-occurring compound found in hemp plants. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabidiol(THC), CBD has no hallucinogenic effects and is not psychoactive. CBD interacts with our receptors in our Endocannabinoid System (ECS). our largest receptor system in the body, and can deliver unique health benefits to our bodies. We find that CBD is outperforming other compounds found in hemp because of its inherent anti-inflamatory properties as well as it’s interaction with the ECS. Since ECS receptors are found throughout the body, dosing and interaction within the system changes as the form of the product changes. For example, using a topical lotion works in a targeted area, while an oil-based tincture works across our entire ECS. LEarning about the ECS, determining what form of CBD to take, and discovering what dose works best for you are the most important ways to find the right CBD product for you.
